i cry for you argentina

last month i spent my time traveling all over the patagonia in argentina. i visited family, trekked glaciers, chilled with penguins, partied on the beach, and watched tango shows in buenos aires. it was an amazing experience except for when i was nearly crushed by a 20 story chunk of glacier in el calafate. the video below was shot on the boat that was almost capsized from the ice tsunami caused by the perito moreno.



i crossed the strait of magellan to tierra del fuego, landing in ushuaia, the southern most city in the world. it's about 500 miles north of antartica. you flush the toilet down there and the water swirls counter- clockwise. very entertaining.

i flew back up north to buenos aires just in time for christmas and new years in la plata. i did nothing but club in BA, lounge by the pool, drink maté, and play the argentine version of yatzee, generala.




after the holidays i rode down to mar del plata for the remainder of my trip. i enjoyed the beach and relaxed before heading back to buenos aires.

the apple bong

i learned about the apple bong back in 2001 while vacationing in orlando with a group of friends. thanks to randy’s apple pipe, i have been able to enjoy a little smokey treat whenever i am away from home. if you’re ever in a jam and are pipeless when you score some herb… either when you’re out and about or on vacation, i highly suggest you try the apple bong. all you need is a ripe apple and a pen or pencil. its easy, fun, and harmless to the environment.

1. turn the apple upside down so you’re facing the butt of the apple





2. take your pen or pencil and poke a hole through the butt of the apple about midway. (note: you don’t want to pierce the apple the whole way through.)








3. with the same pen or pencil, poke a hole through the side of the apple about midway meeting the hole you previously made from the butt of the apple. this will create the “L” shape inside the apple. blow through the side hole a few times to make sure the passageway is clear.









4. use the butt of the apple as you would a pipe, filling it with your favorite tobacco. now you're ready to light and smoke.

welcome to my blog... blank rune. in case you're wondering what runes are... they are small stones etched with symbols used as a system of divination, decision making and communication. "they are the magical alphabet of the north of central and northern europe." the blank rune symbolizes something that cannot be known or cannot be controlled and as such, fate will decide the outcome. this is the rune i blindly pulled during my rune reading. that reading couldn't have been more accurate. i am blank.
